I asked the agent if we could first verify the VIN number of my rental. Some of us were already suffering from heat exhaustion. I called Hertz support back and expressed to the agent the she had 10 minutes to resolve my problem before I put a rock through the Tesla window. Then the worst happened the line disconnected. I expressed that I had already tried that and their support line just hangs up. I stated to the agent that we should confirm the VIN number.

I called Hertz and the agent after a long verification process attempted to unlock the car remotely. We had no water or any place to find shade. When I arrived at the counter the Hertz agent behind the counter stated we do not carry Model X. I called the reservation line immediately and the agent assured me that my reservation was for a Model X. I received in my email a confirmation for a Tesla Model 3. A Hertz reservation agent reserved for me a Tesla Model X. When you arrive at the location they will state that they do not have the car you rented.
